To assist you in making an informed decision, we aim to provide a summary of the most popular curriculums commonly used by homeschooling families at our tutor centre, along with some key differences between them.

ACE (Accelerated Christian Education)

ACE is a Christian-based curriculum that emphasizes strong moral values, character
development, and academic excellence. Students progress at their own pace using
structured workbooks called PACEs, allowing for individualized learning and personal
goal-setting. It’s ideal for learners who thrive in a values-driven, supportive
environment.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Support:

We provide tailored support in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for students following the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
Learn from a UK-based tutor with over 16 years of experience, specializing in the IB Diploma Programme as well as university-level medical studies. Sessions focus on exam essentials and intensive past paper preparation to help you achieve your best results.

What is the International Baccalaureate (IB)?
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally recognized education programme developed in Switzerland, offering a rigorous and well-rounded curriculum for students aged 3 to 19. The IB Diploma Programme, for students in their final two years of school, emphasizes critical thinking, research, and international-mindedness, preparing students for university studies worldwide.

The IB is not the same as the IEB (Independent Examinations Board), which is a South African examination body. The IB follows an international curriculum and assessment standard, while the IEB assesses the South African CAPS curriculum.

Cambridge

The Cambridge curriculum is a globally recognized, academically rigorous program
that promotes critical thinking and deep subject knowledge. It requires strong selfdiscipline,
consistency, and dedication. This curriculum is best suited for students
who are committed to high academic standards and long-term study goals.
 

Cambridge Support

We offer expert support in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level students.

GED (General Educational Development)

The GED is an American-based high school equivalency program that offers a
practical alternative to traditional schooling. It focuses on essential skills in four core
subjects and is ideal for older students looking to fast-track their education or pursue
tertiary studies.
In South Africa, once validated by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority), a
GED certificate is evaluated as comparable to the South African National Senior
Certificate (NSC) at NQF Level 4.

Online Learning Platforms

We also accommodate students who are enrolled with accredited online learning
platforms such as Teneo, Evolve Online School, and Think Digital Academy. These
platforms offer a range of curriculum options, including CAPS, IEB, and Cambridge,
giving families the flexibility to choose what suits their needs. Learners can select
from different learning formats such as live online classes, a combination of live and
recorded lessons, or fully asynchronous video-based learning. Our centre provides
additional academic support to help students stay on track and succeed in these
programs.
